Yes. We hire a wide range of equipment from quad walkers to electric beds. We do not hire cushions.
Yes. We service and repair equipment that can be safely repaired. Many clients ask for the repair of equipment that should ideally be replaced. Medtech will ask you to sign a Repair Declaration to make you aware of the issues we have highlighted, and inform you if the cost of repair may exceed the price of a new piece of equipment. Repairs may mean a need to order parts from a manufacturer, or other supplier, that can take time.
Yes. We have an extensive range of spare parts on site, or have access through our suppliers, for the equipment we sell. Parts for equipment not normally available through Medtech will require payment prior to ordering.

Yes. But only a limited range at any given time. To ensure that Medtech can vouch for the equipment it sells, only equipment in excellent and reliable condition would be considered for purchase and re-sale.
We suggest all clients use an independent health professional when purchasing expensive pieces of equipment on behalf of family and friends. An occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or GP can assist in the decision-making. Trials of equipment can be easily arranged, either at the Medtech shop, or at client residence. Medtech Mobility Equipment is under no obligation to refund, or buy back, equipment because it is no longer needed. Otherwise normal fair trading terms prevail.
Yes. We will give instruction as per the manufacturer of equipment sold by Medtech, and as recommended by manufacturers. This can be undertaken one on one, or as a group.
This is dependant on the health fund, and your level of cover. We always suggest you check with your health fund prior to purchase, if this may be an issue. Sometimes the health fund may ask for a doctor’s letter to accompany the invoice.

In the last 12 years five large suppliers of medical aids have changed hands, moved interstate or closed down. This means client history, access to spare parts, and service records are often lost. Over that time Medtech has operated as a local business with a street address, displaying a large and wide range of product. But hand in hand with that also goes a long history of supporting a large area of outback Queensland, making scheduled and regular visits to regional centres. The public is encouraged and welcomed to peruse equipment at its showroom, and take advantage of the knowledge of well trained, experienced staff. In what are often trying and emotional times an understanding human face can make everything a little more pleasant. Behind the showroom is a well- equipped workshop that provides essential backup to the products Medtech sells.
But not everyone can come to us. Therefore, we encourage people to “visit” us also via our website; our aim will always be to have a knowledgeable staff member to promptly reply to your enquiries.
